seek serenity. find comfort.
The Aerie at Eagle Cove is a lofty and spacious suite with amazing panoramic
views across the Pacific Ocean. Perfect accommodation for two guests, it can sleep
up to four, and is open year round. Whatever the season, if you are looking for
comfort and serenity in a beautiful setting, you will find it here ...
Open the door to your bright 860 sq. ft. suite where there is everything
you need to feel completely at home for a few days or for a few months. The private
entrance leads into the foyer, which features a single daybed, and a
corner writing desk with telephone and wireless internet access. Set up your laptop
computer here and surf the world wide web. Walk into the living room and be
captivated by the sweeping ocean and mountain vista from the wall of tall
windows. Some guests say it's like being on a cruise ship deck ...
Sit in front of the seaside windows at the dining table and chairs and drink
in the natural beauty all around you. Gaze out on the shoreline and the surrounding
treetops. The leather sofa bed -- which can accommodate two guests (bedding
provided) -- and two comfortable armchairs invite you to relax, read
or watch TV and to
be warmed by the wood-burning fireplace ... so cosy on a winter evening
or a rainy day.
Tucked away behind cabinet doors on either side of the fireplace you'll find
the satellite TV, VCR, DVD, stereo sound system and CD player, as well
as a collection of movies to amuse and entertain you. There are also
board games and books about Sooke's parks and trails, and our birds and wildlife. A
pair of binoculars will help you identify those creatures swimming by. A large
mirror above the fireplace reflects the spectacular outlook.
stop and listen.
look up at the stars or down on the sea.
Step through the sliding glass door to your private sundeck, suspended above
the sea. Sip your morning coffee here, sunbathe or have lunch outdoors at the
patio table and chairs. The Aerie's sundecks summon you to stand and stare, to
slow down and recharge ... Look out in wonder on our own wild backyard ... Listen
to a symphony of waves breaking on the shore. No matter the time of year, inside
or out, you’ll always hear the surf sweeping over the pebble beach of Eagle
Cove.

cook memorable meals or go gourmet.
The kitchen is fully equipped to serve up to four guests. Create some memorable
meals with a full size glass-top convection range and microwave and clean up quickly
with a dishwasher. The refrigerator is concealed behind wooden doors. Small appliances

fall asleep soothed by the sound of the surf.
Sleep peacefully in the bedroom with its plush pillow-top queen size bed. Leave
the large screened picture window open and see the starry sky, the full moon or
dawn's first light shimmering across the ocean. Mirrored closet doors reflect
the unobstructed view. Listen to the waves rhythmically wash ashore ... Breathe
in the fresh sea air.
Another big window brightens the bathroom. Look out at a lush forest
from the large walk-in marble and glass shower. Stay warm and cosy ... All rooms
have self-controlled electric heating.
get close to nature. watch wildlife.
Sundecks … day or night, just step outside and savour the awesome
panorama of tall trees, surging sea, snow-capped mountains and sky. The seaside
deck is the place to catch the sunrise. You may see otters scampering along
the beach, eagles soaring above the tree tops, or whales spy-hopping in the strait.
The Aerie has another spacious sundeck off the entry with both blue ocean
and green garden views ... and where the lounge chairs await your arrival. This
is the perfect place to listen to the songbirds, to snooze in the late afternoon
sunshine, or to enjoy a sundown supper at the patio dining table.
sunbathe. storm watch.
Soaking up the sun or storm watching, time spent relaxing on the decks at Eagle
Cove will refresh your senses. But go down to the beach to get really close
to nature … and to witness the power and the glory of the Pacific Ocean.
In the summertime it’s tranquil at low tide when the beach is wide and deep,
but when the winter tide’s high, big waves thunder in and salt spray fills
the air. The steps to the beach begin just outside your front door …
